The 20th Asian Games, also known as the Asiad, were officially inaugurated at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Athletes from all 45 participating countries, along with the Refugee Team, took part in the opening ceremony’s march past. Representing Nepal, boxer Chandra Bahadur Thapa Magar and women’s kabaddi team captain Manamati Bista carried the Nepali national flag during the parade.
