Nepali Congress is preparing to elect Gagan Thapa unopposed as party president at its 15th General Convention. Party General Secretary Dila Sangraula said there is no factional division and that Thapa’s leadership is clear. Around 7,000 delegates, including representatives from abroad, are expected to participate. The party is also preparing to amend its statute, increasing office-bearers from 17 to 21.
