Nepal Rastra Bank has reduced the minimum holding period for banks’ investments in listed shares and debentures from six months to 45 days. The central bank amended its Unified Directive for Class “A,” “B” and “C” financial institutions. The revised rules require banks to maintain separate banking and trading books and include measures to control speculative risks. Banks must set
