The United Nations has released $160 million from its emergency fund to provide life-saving assistance to 12 countries and regions facing severe humanitarian crises. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), $150 million has been allocated to Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Cuba, Mali, Niger, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Yemen.
