Protests erupted in Lumbini against the appointment of Ani Choying Dolma as vice-chairperson of the Lumbini Development Trust. The Lumbini Bachau Abhiyan and local residents staged demonstrations, burned an effigy of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Khadga Paudel, and chanted slogans opposing the decision, demanding authorities address their concerns over the appointment and Lumbini’s management.
