The Government of Nepal has introduced a new electronic bidding system through the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to improve transparency, security and efficiency in public procurement. The system addresses issues such as server failures, data leaks and disruptions through advanced encryption, enhanced server capacity, two-factor authentication and tamper-proof audit records. Its second phase will introduce AI-based detection of
