A total of 1,098 climbers from 71 countries have received permits to climb Nepal’s mountains during the autumn 2026 season, generating NPR 282.41 million in royalty revenue for the government.
According to the Department of Tourism, 130 climbing teams have obtained permits to scale 41 mountains during the season. The approved climbers include 833 men and 265 women.
