Protests have erupted in Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, against the appointment of Ani Choying Dolma as vice-chairperson of the Lumbini Development Trust. Members of the Lumbini Bachau Abhiyan (Save Lumbini Campaign) and local residents staged a demonstration, expressing dissatisfaction with the appointment.
