The government has taken action against three local governments for allegedly defying official employee transfer decisions, freezing their bank accounts and withdrawing their financial and administrative responsibilities. The affected local governments are Kanakasundari Rural Municipality in Jumla, Jirabhawani Rural Municipality in Parsa and Budhanilkantha Municipality in Kathmandu.
